HOW TO Increase COSTS and PRICES

The best way of increasing your costs and retail prices, is to use the Update Pending Prices report. This process will increase the costs, keep the same markup and therefore increase your retail prices. If any prices have changed it will queue a label and place the prices into the Pending area. After the labels have been printed, you can then Activate these prices.
To get to this report, click on Stock, Processes, Pending, Batch Update Pending Prices.

Change the Update Mode to 5 COST and PRICE update using variation.

Enter in the percent you want to increase your costs by into the Variation field.

Enter in MANUAL into the Update Code. (Or press F2 to select it from the list).
{If you leave this field blank, it will apply your prices immediately without going into Pending}.
Leave the Pending Date as todays date.

If you want to get a report out which just shows you what the prices will recalculate to, put a tick in Test Run only.

If you want to queue these prices to pending and create labels, ensure there is no tick in Test Run Only.

Leave the other settings on this window as the defaults.
If you only wish to recalculate prices for a particular range, press the F4 (Set Range) button and change the appropriate Index.
For instance if you only want to update SELLEYS products, change the Index to
E – Supplier + Dept +Group + Fineline + Subline
Press F9 to return to the report screen.

Press F9 to run this report.
You can review these price changes in the Enter Pending Prices. (Stock, Processes, Pending, Enter Pending Prices.)
Type in MANUAL in the Update Code, and check them in this list.

If you are happy with these price changes, print the labels out by clicking on Stock, Processes, Labels, Enter Stock Labels.

If you just wish to see the labels that were queued by this Batch Update, select Batch Price from the Type option box.

Press F7, then F9 to print.

After the labels have been put on the shelf, you need to Activate these prices so they take effect in POS.
To do this, click on Stock, Processes, Pending, Batch Activate Pending Prices.

Ensure that you untick Test Run Mode (if you leave it ticked, it will only provide a report and not do any price updates).
Type in MANUAL update code, then press F9 to activate these prices.
