HOW TO Use Mighty Rewards or DIY Rewards

 

Follow these instructions for the general use and functionality for the Mighty Rewards or DIY Rewards systems.

New Rewards Customer

When a customer wants to join the Rewards program you can scan the loyalty card at any time in the sale.

It will prompt you with the following option. Click on Yes to create a new customer.

 

Will prompt with the new customer form like below.

You need to enter in the customers email address to continue.

If a customer doesn't have an email address, you need to enter in the following email address: noemail@data.com.au

If the email is valid it will display “OK” under the email address.

Fill in the required information.

Any fields that have a red * on the right indicate that they must be filled in.

 

If the customer would like their invoice emailed to them ensure you tick Receive Invoice via Email

Press F9 to save.  

 

IHG has locked out "simple" email address such as admin@storename.com.au or info@storename.com.au

If you need to be able to setup customers with this type of email, please contact IHG for assistance.

The customers details and points will be shown at the top of the screen.

If there is a green tick, then all is good to continue.

 

Create Rewards customer by email address

Follow these steps to manually create a Rewards card customer.

In POS after logging in.

Press F10 - Details, K - Rewards Management

A - Create new Rewards customer

Email Address: Fill in the customers email address

Card Number: Fill in the rewards card number

Fill in the remainder of the details required.

If the customer wants to receive a copy of this invoice by email, put a tick in Receive Invoice via email.

Press F9 - Save to complete the Rewards customer entry

 

Rewards Management

There are times when you need to edit details about your Rewards customers.

There may be times when the POS operator wishes to change details for a Loyalty customer.

This can be done by pressing F10 - Details, K - Rewards Management 

 

The following options are shown:

A - Create new Rewards customer

Follow the steps here on how to create a new Rewards customer.

B - Sign up existing account to DIY Rewards

Use this option to link an existing customer in your system to a Rewards card.

It will prompt to search for the customer in your system.

Then prompt you wish their email address and rewards card details like you were creating a new Rewards customer.

When F9 - Save is pressed, it will link the Rewards card to this existing customer in your system.

C - Update details on Rewards customer

This allows you to update information about that customer such as Email, name or phone number details.

D - Manage Cards on Rewards Customer

After searching for a Rewards customer, it will prompt you with these options:

C - Replace a lost / stolen primary card for this account

Use this option to change the customer rewards card. Scan the new rewards card in this window and press F9 to save.

D - Request a Merge of another account into this account

Use this option to link another persons card to this account.

It will remove the card from the other persons Rewards account.

E - Points balance enquiry

Use this option to review what points are available for a customer.

Search for the customer in the Debtor field, the points available are shown below.

 

Search for customer loyalty details

 

Use this feature when the customer has forgotten their card, or has come from another store.

After logging into POS.

Press F3 - Sale Type in POS.

Select Y - Loyalty Search

Fill in the search details, then press F5 - Search

Then select the customer required, and press F9 - Select, which will take you into POS.

When searching for a customers name, you need at least:

  • an initial

  • part of the given name

  • and a postcode.

Redeeming Points


When the customer wishes to use their points to "pay" for their sale, select Mighty Rewards Redemption from the tender window after entering all the products the customer wishes to purchase.

On the Tender window, it will show how many points this customer has available to redeem.

If there is enough points, select Rewards Redemption button and fill in the points you wish to use.

If you need to enter in multiple tenders, just fill in the amount to be redeemed by Rewards, then press the Tender letter and it will fill in the remaining amount.

 

Credits


If you credit a customer who earned points on the original invoice, Striven will credit remove the point value of what was credited.

Reporting

The Day Book report shows information about Rewards customers that you need to follow up on.

Its important to review any Bonus Rewards points that have been used.

Sample - Unprocessed Transaction Report

If there is an issue with your Rewards system, the Rewards transactions may be waiting in the queue. This report would show you this information.

Please contact Striven or your Rewards provider on solutions to solve this issue.

 

Master Reward Accounts

Striven allows you to have a “Master” Reward account, which allows your customers to earn points for their group such as the Footy club. If a customer is linked to a Master account, they dont see the points on their sales, but the point value will accrue on the Master account instead.

Create Master Account

To create a Master account do the following:

In Debtors, Entry, Enter Debtors.

Search for the Rewards customer.

Click on the Loyalty tab

Click on the Change Type button

Link a Rewards Customer to a Master Account

To link a Rewards customer to a Master Account do the following:

Search for the Rewards customer.

Click on the Loyalty tab

Click on the Assign Master Account button.

Product Exclusions


Sometimes it is necessary to set a product to not earn reward points.  Such as on Gift Vouchers, Gift Cards...

To exclude a product from earning points do the following in Stock Entry.

Load up the product, click on User fields tab.

Change Reward Points to No.

Press F9 to save.

Bonus Loyalty Points


Bonus loyalty points can be given to a customer by searching for BONUS in the POS screen, selecting "Loyalty Bonus Item (1 Point) and adjusting the quantity to match the points you wish to give to this customer.

Select the "Loyalty Double Points (Entire Sale)" product to double the points on this sale.

Note: the ability to actual sell these products can be locked away behind a Supervisor Override if required.    These are controlled in the Security profiles.

In POS, search for BONUS in the product search area.

Set a Sale to NOT earn Rewards Points

Sometimes its necessary to NOT accrue points on a Rewards customers sale.

Options available

Cash Sales - Reminder

There is an option to prompt to the POS operator on completion of a CASH SALE if they want to scan the customers Reward Card if it hadnt already been scanned.

This is a great way of reminding your operators to join or use their Rewards card.

Here is an example of how it would show:

Rewards System - Internet issues

 

  • If the loyalty system is down, you wont be able to create NEW loyalty customers. You will still be able to create loyalty transactions as normal, it will send these up as soon as it is available.

  • If you update an existing loyalty customer with an email address that already exists in the loyalty system with another card number, it will prompt to “merge” the customers together.

 

Common Questions

 

How long does it take to the points to show up on the rewards customer’s account?

It takes 1 min for Striven to send the information to IHG and 15 mins for the points to show in the loyalty customers account.

How many points and how many $ are earned for each item?

This is controlled by IHG

How to I edit the footer details on a loyalty sale?

This is controlled by IHG

If a loyalty customer earns points at one store, can they use these points at another store?

Yes

How do you determine which items and the supplier are going to get points earned or not?

Every item scanned will earn points.

How do I find a loyalty customer if they don’t have a card?

In POS, select F3 then Y for Loyalty Search. Type in an email address and as much details as possible to
