---|---|
1 | First we need to check whether we have Fixed Markups for Price Levels enabled To do this, go to Stock>Entry>Enter Stock. Once there, go to the Pricing Tab on the right. If you have Fixed Markup Price Levels enabled, you should have these tickboxes visible:
|
2 | If you do not have the Checkboxes visible, you will need to go back to the main Menu and go to System Manager>System Configuration>Enter User System Settings: From here, go to the Stock Tab on the right and enable “Allow Manual Markup on Price Level”: Go back to Stock Entry and look at the Pricing Tab. The checkboxes on each Price Level should now be visible. |
3 | Go to Utilities>Stock Export/Import Utility: |
4 | Set a range using the F4-Set Range button to filter the export to only the stock items that you want to set the price on (in this example we only have 1 item):
|
5 | You will need to Select Stock Code and Description from the field list:
You will also need to select Markup Override Type for the Price Levels that you are going to be updating. In this example, we will be updating Price Level 3, so we will put a tick in “Markup Override Type 3”:
You can use the search bar at the top in order to find fields easier Hit F9 - Run to export the items to Excel |
6 | We need to enable the Fixed Markup Override for the price levels we have chosen. To do this, all we have to do is enter “C+%” in the Markup Override Type field as shown below: Copy and Paste this to all items in your spreadsheet to enable it on all of them. |
7 | Now we need to import it back into Striven. Go to the Import tab on the right side of the Stock Export Window: Use the settings shown above and hit “Import Data” |
8 | The import should have enabled the Markup Override checkbox on the stock items that you chose. Check that it has worked correctly in the Stock Entry window by looking at the pricing tab:
|
9 | Now that we have enabled Fixed Markups on our chosen stock items, we now need to set the Markup values that we are after. We will do this through another export. Go back to the Stock Export window and hit F6-Clear all to clear all Field Selections:
|
10 | Fields needed for this export are as follows: Stock Code, Description, Replacement Cost We will also need the Price for the level we are changing and the markup for the level as well. In this example, this would be Price 3 and Markup Override 3 |
11 | Enter your new pricing for your Price Levels For the example I am going to make Price Level 3 $180:
|
12 | From here we need to calculate the markup for our new price levels. The easiest way is to do it with Excel Formulas We will use the columns to the right for our calculations. Use the following formulas to calculate the Markup. Column 1 - Price Level Ex GST:
Column 2 - Price Level Markup Calculation
|
13 | Copy the new markup into the Markup Override field (Make sure to right click the cell and select “Paste Values” to paste the value rather than the formula):
|
14 | Once the new markup is in the Markup Override field, we can delete our calculated fields and delete our Price 3 field as it is no longer needed:
At this point, you should be left with Stock Code, Description, Replacement Cost and Markup Override as shown above. |
15 | Now we will load in our new markups to finalize our Price Level 3. Go back to Stock Export and go to the Import tab as done before. Ensure that the following settings are active: Hit Import Data and the prices will be imported. |
16 | Check a few stock items in Stock Entry to ensure that the pricing is correct:
