Striven Loyalty

Striven HELP

Striven Loyalty

Striven has an “internal” loyalty system which allows you to set a point value for different types of products.

Overview

The points are earned by the dollar amount on each sale.

A “loyalty number” or “loyalty barcode” can be generated that could be used to stick on the back of a loyalty card. This makes it easier to setup a new loyalty customer or make a sale to a loyalty customer.

Particular products can be marked to “not” earn loyalty points if required (like Gift Cards/Vouchers).

Loyalty Setup

The Internal Striven Loyalty Code must first be created.

Use F5-New in “Enter Loyalty Codes” to create your Internal Striven Loyalty Program.

Enter the Loyalty Code as whatever you want to call your Loyalty Program (10 characters max) e.g. VIP.

Enter a Loyalty Description e.g. “VIP Customers”.

The Loyalty Type must be “Internal Loyalty System”

Enter your Head Branch ID (if you are a stand-alone store this will be your Branch ID).

Enter the External IP Address of your Head Branch (if you are a stand-alone store enter 127.0.0.1).

Finally, enter a Card Template for the Card Numbers you wish to use for your Loyalty program. This will generally be a unique prefix (e.g. 123) to identify the Cards (and not confuse them with Stock or Debtor codes), followed by any number of capital “I” to represent the number of cards you wish to use. Enter the “Range From” as 1 and the “Range To” as the maximum number according to the I’s entered in the Card Template (e.g. 999 for 3x “I”).

e.g. 123III means that the Cards start with 123 and there are up to 999 cards (using 4x “IIII” would give you 9999 possible unique Card Numbers - and so on).

Press F10-Add Grid Line and Enter your information (as above).

F9-Save the new Loyalty Code.

Points Value

You could set products in each department to have a different point value.

Like in this example any product in the “Hand Tools” department would earn 5 points, but “Hardware” would only earn 2 points for each dollar spent.

Docket Footer

The footers on any docket for a loyalty customer can be configured to show the Points available or what was “earned” on this docket.

<P ALIGN="CENTER"> <BR> %%!if RewardRedeemValue!=0%% Value Redeemed: $ %%RewardRedeemValue%% <BR> %%!endif%% Points Balance: %%RewardPointsAvailable%%<BR> Reward Available: $ %%RewardDollarAvailable%%<BR> </p>

Tender Code

A Tender Code must also be configured to enable the Customers to redeem any Loyalty points they have accumulated.

In Enter Tender Codes press F5-New to create a New Tender Code and enter a Name for the Tender in Tender Code.

The Payment type must be set to “Loyalty Redeem”.

The Loyalty Code must be linked to the Loyalty Code you have setup and wish to redeem points for.

Assign a unique Tender Letter and a Tender Colour (if you want).

F9-Save the new Tender Code.

Card Printing

There is a form called “Enter System Customer Card Codes” where it is possible for a configured Card Range to be saved as a CSV file and sent to a Card Printer.

Use F4-Report to save the csv file of your Card Range.
