HOW TO - Create a Transaction using Zip Pay

How to Create a Purchase

When a Customer asks to Pay for the goods they are purchasing by using Zip Pay (as the Tender) in-store.

Instructions

The Customer says they would like to make payment via Zip Pay:

  1. Operator: Selects "Zip Pay" as the Tender and presses F9-Save.
  2. Operator: is now prompted to enter the (In-Store) Approval Code given to them by the Customer in the next steps.
  3. Customer: Opens their Zip Pay App/Account and Selects "Shop In-Store"
  4. Customer: Shares the In-Store Code displayed to the Operator (or the Operator Scans the bar-code).
  5. Operator: Enters the Approval Code in the Prompt displayed.
  6. Customer: Confirms the Purchase Details (Date, Amount, Store etc) and presses "Confirm" (or Cancel) from their Zip Pay Account.

How to Create a Credit Note/Refund

A Customer asks to be Refunded for the goods they have previously purchased with Zip Pay at this store.

Instructions

  1. Operator:  Select "Credit Note" from the Striven POS Menu.
  2. Operator:  Ask the Customer for their receipt or the Reference Number (Zip Transaction ID) from the Original Purchase.
  3. Customer: Presents the docket to scan (or read/enter) the Transaction Number from; or tell the operator the Zip Transaction ID they wish to refund.
  4. The Sale is loaded into POS, and the lines being refunded are updated with the returned quantities.
  5. Operator:  Press F9 to finalise the Credit Note.
  6. Operator:  "Zip Pay" will be set as the "default" Tender; press F9.


The Customer MUST already have a Zip Pay Account setup; either Zip Pay or Zip Money (for Sales over $1000)

And;

The Minimum Tender Amount is $10.00 (when testing).

Zip Pay Integration at your Store

The following two things MUST be provided in order to Integrate Zip Pay in Striven:

  1. A Store Code - check with IHG if they provided you your Zip Pay account.
  2. A Zip Pay account must be available at the Store to Test the connection to Zip Pay before going "live".

If your Zip Pay account was not set up by IHG, then a Staff member who has the credentials to log-in to the Zip Pay admin site must also be available when integrating Zip Pay in Striven.
