Conversion - Pacsoft Optemizer - Cloud

Follow these instructions to extract the data out when Optemizer is running in the Cloud.
It is running in the cloud, when the Optemizer icon is a blue “Remote Desktop” icon.
When the user double clicks on this, it loads up a Remote Desktop session and Optemizer is running in that session.
To find out where the data is coming from do the following in the “Remote Desktop” session.
Browse to C:\Windows\Optemizer.ini
We are looking for information like below:
ODBC Connection | |

| 1 | In the “Remote Desktop” session, create a new ODBC “SQL Driver” connection to the “ServerName”. |

| 3 | Server: <<From the Optemizer.ini>>

| 4 | Username: <<From the Optemizer.ini>> Password: <<From the Optemizer.ini>>

| 5 | Send over R:\MiscSoftware\DatabasePro Database4_32bit.exe DBMigration.exe You need to send those files to the real computer. Then from the real computer, Copy and Paste those files to the CLOUD machine. Run the programs from the Cloud Machine. |

Run Database4_32bit.exe to check that the ODBC connection is working.
DBMigration - SQL Server to SQLite | |
|---|---|
| 1 | We need to extract the data from the SQL Server to a new database. It was very quick when exporting to SQLite. I had to load the data into SQLite (as that doesnt require anything to install).

| 2 | Zip up that file (which is on the CLOUD SERVER). |
| 3 | Copy that Zip file to the Local Machine
|
| 4 | Now transfer that back to your local system. |
DBMigration - SQLite to SQLServer | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Do the following on your local system. |
| 2 | Then do a Migration from SQLite to SQLServer, using DBMigration.exe You can use the Bulk Copy Mode option in the middle as it goes faster The tables that are used in the conversion are listed below.
