Updating stock quantities via spreadsheet

Perform a stock export for only Stock Code and Stock on Hand Qty fields

Open

Make changes to the stock quantities.

Open

Then we need to export the document as a Tab Delimited file, first select file then export.

Change file type → Tab Delimited (.txt) and hit save as, name it something relevant.

In the stocktake download from PDE function, go to download from PDE and select TAB file.

Perform a stock export for only Stock Code and Stock on Hand Qty fields

Make changes to the stock quantities.

Instead of exporting in Excel, go to File → Save As

Untick the box that for Automatic file name extension

Tick the box for Edit filter settings

Name the document the name you want and add in .txt to the end.

Then save as type Text CSV (.csv)

Hit Save

Select in the dropdown field for Field Delimiter {Tab}

Ensure the String delimiter field is blank and the boxes below are Unticked

Click OK

Open the download from PDE function in striven. Select the stocktake code and then F8 Download from PDE.

Select TAB file - Stocktake and open the one saved previously.

You can now validate and post as you would a normal stocktake.
