How To Create a Voucher

 Create a new stock item

In Striven main menu go to Stock > Enter Stock

Open

 Create new stock item of type "Voucher"

Press F5 to add a new stock item and change the type value to "Gift Voucher" and enter name into description then enter department, supplier and creditor as "0"

Open

 Open POS and sell Gift Voucher

Go to POS and add the gift voucher to the transaction

 Enter Voucher details 

Enter a unique value for the voucher number. Then add an amount that the voucher will hold. Enter the subsequent details about the customer and then press F9 or save on the screen. 

 Setup Gift Voucher Tender Code

Go to the Striven main menu and go to System Manager > Till > Enter Tender Codes

 Enter a new Tender Code of type "Gift Voucher"

Enter the new Tender Code as "GIFTVOUCHER" and enter "Gift Voucher" in the description. Change Payment Type to "Gift Voucher" and change Tender Letter to an available letter. Press F9 to Save

This will allow you to select "GIFT VOUCHER" as a payment method in POS

 Redeem Voucher 

Redeem Voucher by making a sale and selecting the newly created Gift Voucher payment type. Enter the voucher number and subsequent details on the screen then click save to allocate the value of the gift voucher to the transaction. 

Note: The entire value of the gift voucher must be used in one transaction. It is not possible to split it between multiple transactions.
