Defaults

Striven now allows you to setup field default information that is used whenever a new Debtor, Creditor or Stock item is created in the maintenance window.

This is handy to set up important settings per item that will ensure processes down the track are configured correctly.

Here are some examples:

DebtorsCreditorsStockStaff

StatementType (Open Item or Balance brought forward)

So whenever an item is created it would prompt for what type of defaults you wish to set.

For example in Stock you may have some defaults setup like this.

If you dont wish to use any set defaults, just select None and it will create a new item with the system defaults.

To set the defaults, click on System Manager, System, Enter Defaults.

To create a new one press F5, B - Create Custom Code, or press F2 to select an existing code.

Fill in the Description and Sort By.

Now click on the red "arrow" to add a new Default field.

Select a field and enter in the default value required.
