    Release Notes - 2023.11

Here are the release notes for 2023.11 version

Note: These Release Notes also include the changes from our minor Release 2023.06

    General

    Searches

The Mouse scroll wheel now works in Searches (like product searches in POS) to “scroll down” and see more results.

    POS

    Non Stocked Bundles

    ** Enhancement **

You can now “expand” any Non Stock Bundles in POS to see the “children” from that bundle. You can then alter any quantities if you wish.

    Inactive Stock

There is now an option to dis-allow INACTIVE Stock items being added to Customer Quotes and Orders.

This could be the case when the product has an on-hand, but is no longer stocked by the store or may no longer be available to Order/Receive from the Supplier.

The Stock Item must have its Status set to Inactive in Stock Maintenance:

This allows you to SELL these products until QOH is Zero, but not “promise” more than is available on hand via a Debtor Quote or Order.

If this option is NO, then POS Users are restricted from adding INACTIVE Stock to Customer Quotes and Orders.

    Debtor Quotes - Profit Mode

When creating Quotes using “Profit Mode” there is a new column - “Markup %” that allows a Stock Line to be discounted, with the new Retail Price using the Markup % entered (uses Markup % set on Stock as Default).

    Expanded Bundles

    ** Enhancement **

Striven have created a new Stock Type called Expanded Bundles.

If you sell an Expanded Bundle, it automatically “expands” that bundle so you can see and / or alter the details of the children in that bundle.

    Terms & Conditions

Striven can now attach a separate Terms and Conditions page to the end of your transactions.

It must be configured in “Docket Header and Footer Notes” for each Transaction Type you wish to use it on (Debtor Quote/Order/COD etc).

Select the Transaction Type you wish to create a Terms page for and “Docket Term Page”, then press F5-New when Note Code is selected; enter the name and Type or Paste the Terms & Conditions required.

Next, this Docket Term page created must be assigned to the Transaction Term Codes for the specified Transaction Type(s) configured.

Select the “Terms Page” Tab and Enter/Select the Docket Terms Page created in the previous step.

    Stock Margin

There is a new field to EDIT the Margin % on a Stock Item in Stock Maintenance.

This allows users to calculate the Retail Price (& Markup) from the Cost using the desired Margin Percent entered.

Comparison Report - By Bin Location

There is now the option to run this Report for a specific Bin Location.

Entering a valid Bin Location will only Compare (and update) the Stock Items assigned to that Bin.

    Debtors

    Creditors

    Re-Order Suggestions Report

New option to print any Outstanding (Current) Customer Orders for all Stock Lines printed on the Report.

This option can be found on the “Options” Tab on the right hand side of the Report:

This may help to make the decision on Ordering Quantity for these Stock Lines.

The Suggested Order Report will show the following under a product line if it has an Outstanding Customer Order:

    Reports

    Auto Reports

There is a new option that can be added to ALL Auto Reports that will automatically Email Support if a Report fails to run. This way Striven is notified and can follow-up with you to work out why the Automated Report is not running on schedule.

    Bug Fixes

    Stock

    Stock Entry

    Purchase Unit changing

If the Purchase Unit is changed, it would sometimes multiply the costs twice causing incorrect Replacement or Average Costs. This has been fixed.

    Stock Notes

Improvements to allow different Font, Size and Colours on pop-up notes.

    Creditors

    Suggested Re-Order Report

Can save Heading or Order Type on form (with Ctrl-S) so they are loaded each time the Report is opened.
